Dream Home and 50/50 Lottery Tickets may be sold and purchased only in British Columbia. Ticket purchasers must be 19 years of age or older. If a winning ticket bears a minor’s name, the prize will be lawfully delivered on behalf of the minor to the minor’s parent, legal guardian or trustee.

2017 Dream Home Lottery Rules

For the Hospice Dream Home Lottery only 9,999 valid tickets will be sold. Retail value of all prizes is $602,697.33. Retail value of the Dream Home is $592,819.86, including all appliances (see details below regarding Grand Prize).

Eligibility

Tickets can only be purchased and sold within the Province of British Columbia. Ticket purchasers must be 19 years of age or older. Only tickets that have been paid for and verified as paid for in the Province of British Columbia are eligible to be entered for the respective draws. All sales are final once a ticket number has been assigned. Proof of ownership of shared tickets is the responsibility of the purchaser.

Tickets

Only 9,999 Dream Home tickets are printed at a price of $100 per ticket. Tickets may be purchased using cash, debit, Visa, or MasterCard. Cheques will not be accepted. The price of the tickets is not deductible as a charitable donation for tax purposes in Canada. Chances are 1 in 9,999 (total tickets for sale) to win the Grand Prize of the Dream Home located in the Nechako View subdivision in Prince George. Actual odds depend of the number of tickets sold. Each ticket purchased is eligible for the remaining sequential draws.

Early Bird Prize Draws

Three (3) Early Bird Prizes will be drawn from all eligible tickets purchased prior to sales cut-off for each drawing. Cut-off time for all draws is 5:00pm the day of the draw. All draws will be held at 8:00pm at the Dream Home, 3952 Larisa Court, Prince George, BC.

3,226 sq. ft. custom built Dream Home located at 3952 Larisa Court in the Nechako View subdivision in Prince George, BC; appraised value of $585,000.00 (retail value including appliances is $592.819.86). The Grand Prize includes five appliances (fridge, stove, dishwasher, washer & dryer), a security system with 12 free months of monitoring, and 6 months of Internet and TV services. (monitoring and other services must be provisioned at 3952 Larisa Court, Prince George, BC)

Draw Order

All valid and verified tickets purchased prior to prize draw cut-off dates and times will be eligible for all remaining sequential draws. All prizes will be drawn in the order listed. A winning ticket drawn for any prize will be verified and recorded prior to being returned to the draw barrel and prior to the next sequential draw. All prize draws will be done manually from the draw barrel located at the Dream Home at 3952 Larisa Court in Prince George, BC. Tickets are returned to the draw barrel after each prize is drawn. Odds of winning a grand prize are 1 in 9,999 (total tickets available for sale). Actual odds may vary depending on actual number of tickets purchased.

If all tickets are sold out, all prizes will be drawn according to schedule.

Notification

An attempt to contact prize winners will be made following each set of draws using the supplied contact information provided on the ticket at the time of purchase. All winners’ names will be published on the Prince George Hospice Society Dream Home Lottery website, and a winners’ list will be available for viewing at the Prince George Hospice Society offices located at 1506 Ferry Avenue, Prince George, BC, V2L 5H2. The winners’ list will be updated within 24 hours after each set of draws.

The Prince George Hospice Society reserves the right to publish the names and likeness of the winners of Prince George Hospice Society Dream Home Lottery.

Prizes

All prizes must be accepted as awarded and have no cash equivalent and are not transferable or refundable. All prizes must be claimed within one year of the prize draws. The Prince George Hospice Society Dream Home Lottery and its suppliers are not responsible for any costs incurred for the pick up or delivery of prizes. Winners are responsible for all shipping and delivery costs if they choose to have prizes shipped to them.

The Grand Prize Dream Home must be accepted as awarded. All transfer costs will be the responsibility of the Lottery. Any and all taxes, strata fees, and/or costs associated with owning the property will be the responsibility of the winner from the date of possession. Grand prize winner accepts ownership as of time and date of the draw and waives all rights to tax rebates on the home.

If after a period of one year a winner cannot be located, the prize or cash equivalent to the fair market value of the prize will be donated to an approved beneficiary.

Prizes May Not Be Exactly As Shown

Should a prize become unavailable due to circumstances beyond the Lottery’s control, the winner shall be awarded fair market value.

Supplier Restrictions

Contest rules prohibit the following from purchasing tickets:

  • Board of Directors of Prince George Hospice Society and the senior officers, ticket coordinator and event coordinator of the Prince George Hospice Society Dream Home Lottery.

Notice Advising Ticket Purchasers

You must be 19 years or older to purchase a ticket. Ticket sellers will advise all adult ticket buyers not to write the name of a person under the age of 19. A non-resident of British Columbia may purchase a ticket only if the entire payment transaction takes place while the person is in British Columbia, and if the ticket or receipt is issued at the same time.

In the event that a winning ticket lists more than one name, the Licensee will award the prize to any individual whose name is listed on the ticket. The Licensee is not responsible for resolving any disputes that may arise between the different individuals. The Prince George Hospice Society and the Dream Home Lottery respects your privacy. We do not rent, sell or trade our mailing lists. The personal information collected by the Prince George Hospice Society Dream Home Lottery will be used to process ticket orders, notify winners, and send out current and future lottery information and to provide information on future Prince George Hospice Society events, programs and fundraisers. If you do not wish to be contacted, please contact the Prince George Hospice Society at (250) 563-2551.

Online and phone orders can be placed twenty four (24) hours a day and will require verification. Online and phone orders will be processed during normal business hours of the Prince George Hospice Society. When ordering online or by phone, please allow 2 to 3 weeks from date of purchase for delivery of your official ticket.

2017 50/50 Lottery Rules
